Project Overview

Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer return in this fantasy series based on the All Souls trilogy by Deborah Harkness.

Librarian and witch Diana Bishop (Palmer) discovers a magical manuscript which catapults her back into a world full of vampires, witches, and daemons. Diana must piece together and protect the book from darker forces to save both her family and all magical creatures.

Diana enlists the help of vampire Matthew Clairmont (Goode), despite the long-standing mistrust between witches and vampires, and together they form an unlikely alliance to ensure their survival.

Outpost were awarded a little over 100 VFX shots for A Discovery of Witches. Our VFX Producer on the show, Josh Sykes, gives us insight into Outpost's involvement on the show.

"Our work on A Discovery of Witches was varied but involved a lot of complex FX based sequences. We were tasked with creating the witches’ masking spells, the book of life reveal and the end Knox!”

“We were also given the responsibility of crafting the Tree of Life, as well as building several large set extensions for Venice and New Orleans.”

Sykes concludes: “it was a pleasure working on the final series of A Discovery of Witches with overall VFX Supervisor, Neil Riley. The Outpost team worked extremely hard to bring all of the magical elements to life for the client and for the existing fans of the show."

A Discovery of Witches Season 3 is available on Sky.
