Known for his work on the Oscar-winning film Dune, among others, Martin has over 15-years’ experience in the VFX industry. The Canadian-based VFX Supervisor has worked at multiple major studios, across numerous high-profile projects, and brings his varied expertise to Outpost’s studio in Montréal.

The French-born VFX Supervisor began his career in Animation at Illumination Studios Paris, working on a number of popular franchises including Despicable Me, Minions and The Secret Life of Pets. After making the transition to VFX Compositing, Martin quickly rose to the role of Comp Supervisor, 2D Supervisor and VFX Supervisor. While working as a DFX Supervisor, Martin helped deliver almost 2,000 shots on an upcoming project for Apple+. In 2022 he worked on the sci-fi adventure Dune, further developing his ability as a Supervisor, and helping the team that won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.
Martin joins Outpost’s studio in Montréal where he’ll begin work on upcoming episodic and film productions. He said: “One of the things that drew me to Outpost is their focus on a positive work environment. I’m looking forward to meeting the whole team and getting started on new projects.”
The Quebec-based studio have recently delivered Netflix film Slumberland, Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and are currently working on the upcoming film Renfield, among others. Outpost creates high-end visual effects for clients such as Universal, HBO, Netflix and Amazon, and has five studios across four countries in the UK, USA, India and Canada.
